Moong, also called green gram or mung bean  is a small green legume popular in Asian cuisines.

Main Forms

  • Whole moong – small green beans with husk intact.

  • Split moong with skin – split in half, still with green husk.

  • Split moong without skin   yellow in color, cooks faster.

  • Moong flour – made from ground moong dal, used in batters.

Uses
